This Funky Little Town Near Cincinnati Is A True Hidden Gem

Cincinnati is full of things to see and do, but if you’re itching to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, you’ll want to head to one of the many small towns nearby. Here’s a little town that’s so charming and funky that you’ll want to visit over and over again.

Yellow Springs is a delightful little town with around 3,500 residents.

One thing you'll quickly notice about Yellow Springs is that there's art everywhere you look. From the Village Artisans Gallery...

...to artistic benches scattered throughout town...

...to brightly colored murals on the sides of almost every building.

These folks have even been known to decorate trees!

Another place you'll find beautiful hues? At the Glen Helen Natural Area, where Mother Nature's canvas excites the eye as well.

This quaint, cozy spot serves up the most delicious lunch, dinner, and brunch, and it's been open for 40 years, so it's certainly time-tested.

You'll want to catch a film at the Little Art Theatre on Xenia Street. Built in 1929, it's now a non-profit theatre that's been completely renovated.

What could possibly make Yellow Springs any more wonderful? Goats and ice cream, of course!

At Young's Jersey Dairy, you can pet the adorable goats, then immerse yourself in a big helping of homemade ice cream. It's the perfect ending to a perfect day in Ohio's funkiest little town.
