Escape Everyday Life At This Picturesque Vineyard Near Cincinnati
Around Cincinnati, there are many places you can visit to escape everyday life. Just north of the city in Morrow, such a spot can be found at Valley Vineyards. This favorite destination is great for a special night out, to learn more about the wine-making process, or to try a few award-winning wines with friends. Valley Vineyards will allow you to separate yourself from everyday life and relax on their picturesque property.
Back in the 1970s, the Schuchter family shared their passion for wine with the community, but eventually sold the property. Visiting, however, holds much of the same charm, plus now craft beer as well! The vineyard is open for a visit, wine flights, and events and is a great place to spend an afternoon.
When you visit the vineyard, you can choose to enjoy the beauty of the wine-making process from the front row. Ask questions about the extensive wine-making process and enjoy learning how the vineyard is run.
The vineyard is not just a unique place to visit. Their wine is award-winning and locally produced, making it the perfect day trip from Cincinnati. If you go for a wine flight, they do have a few options for a snack or a light meal, such as a meat and cheese board and homemade pizza.
The most popular attraction at the vineyard is its weekend cookouts. These are held on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the year and on Sundays as well from July - October. Reservations are recommended! At the cookout, you'll get to grill your own steak or salmon and enjoy a buffet of delicious sides and desserts. Of course, you'll also enjoy a few glasses of wine.
Valley Vineyards is a hidden treasure north of Cincinnati that is ideal for a relaxing evening out or even a special event.
You'll feel as if you've escaped to another part of the world, but still experience the comfort and welcoming atmosphere of your hometown. Valley Vineyards is open Monday - Wednesday 11am - 6pm, Thursday 11am - 10pm, Friday and Saturday 11am - 4pm and Sunday 1pm - 6pm, in addition to its cookout events. The owners and staff are eager to share their passion with you and, of course, a bottle of wine.
