Summer is in full swing here in Cincinnati and you might be looking for a new spot to cool off. If waterfront views, swimming and adventure all sound appealing, then you need to check out White Rock Park, located just a short drive from downtown in Saint Paul, Indiana. It’s the perfect escape from the summer heat and the ideal place for a fun filled day.
About an hour west of Cincinnati, en route to Indianapolis, you'll find the hidden gem of White Rock Park. Family-owned for over 35 years, this swimming hole, fishing lake and campground is the ultimate place for summer fun.
The property includes three lakes, one of which is solely used for swimming and water activities. One of those is zip lining, which is included with the price of admission. You can zip across the lake if you're feeling up for a little thrill.
If you want to step it up a notch, try the cliff diving. There are four platforms to choose from, with the tallest 10 meters in height. You can also choose to relax in a raft or on one of the many floating docks.
A classic summertime activity, also included in admission, is the rope swing. Get in line and await the excitement of swinging - and eventually falling - into the clear waters of the lake.
White Rock Park also has multiple campground sites with lovely views of the lakes and the Flat Rock River. It's perfectly situated for an escape from everyday life to enjoy nature and the water adventure.
White Rock Park is open daily from 11am - 6pm. For ages 10 and up, daily admission is $15, ages 6- 9 are $12 and children 5 and under are free. It's important to remember that all swimming and activities are at your own risk, so be sure to exercise caution.
