When a new restaurant opens in Cincinnati, many prefer to give it awhile and let the dust settle before trying it out. Well, the dust has more than settled at Sartre in OTR, and if you haven’t yet, you’ll definitely want to give this newer eatery a try. Don’t be intimidated by its “French brasserie” description or that you may not be able to pronounce everything on the menu (or the name of the restaurant, for that matter), instead, drop everything and head to this incredible restaurant that is filled with history, excellent service, eye-catching decor, and a delicious menu that has something for everyone.
Sartre in OTR opened their doors this past September and have been impressing guests ever since.
Located in an old brewery building in Over-the-Rhine, Sartre is not just another new restaurant in this ever expanding neighborhood. You can tell from the exterior that something special is hidden behind those historic doors and windows, and any apprehension you have about trying a new dining spot will melt away the minute you walk inside.

The vibe inside is inviting and lively, yet still intimate.
You'll want to spend time looking around the space at details like the artwork, accessories, wooden bar, and mosaic tile floor. It's obvious that much thought went into each choice in order to create the ideal atmosphere for a modern French brasserie feel.
The restaurant currently serves dinner and drinks, and the menu is masterfully created down to each and every flavor combination.

The bar area is incredibly beautiful and they have a fully stocked selection, making it an excellent option for a date night or relaxing meet up spot with friends.
