This Is The Newest Park In Cincinnati And It’s Absolutely Incredible
With all of the wonderful parks throughout Cincinnati, there is really no excuse to not get outside and play. Although phase one opened in 2014, Cincinnati’s newest park continues to expand – and amaze – as it grows to its fully developed plan. Summit Park in Blue Ash is a 130-acre park project that is beautifully unfolding before our eyes and it’s absolutely incredible.
Once the Blue Ash Airport, this massive, corner property has been transformed into a world-class park.
The community has fallen in love with Summit Park and all it has to offer. The master plan is exciting and if it's anything like what's already completed, our city has a true destination on its hands.
The park has been completed in phases and work is still ongoing.
Phase 1 opened in 2014 and Blue Ash residents and Cincinnatians have been enjoying the park ever since. It seems there is something new and enticing at each visit.
The stunning glass canopy and surrounding buildings are the centerpiece of the park.
Summit Park is meant to be a true community gathering place and it definitely delivers. This raised area provides beautiful views of the park and even includes some of Cincinnati's most applauded restaurants.
Another main feature of the park is the unique playground.
There is no other space like this in the city, and both children and parents alike will absolutely love this interactive and creative play space. Climb, slide, and run through a colorful mixture of materials. There are also picnic tables and restrooms easily accessible near the playground.
Summit Park is now home to many festivals and events.
The property is perfect for large gatherings, including the popular Taste of Blue Ash, as well as Red, White & Blue Ash. It also hosts smaller events on a regular basis, such as a weekly seasonal Farmer's Market and yoga.
The addition of restaurants has made Summit Park the ultimate oasis in our city.
Next up, in early 2018, expect to see an innovative Naturescape play area, complete with water features and many other natural elements. The addition of this phase, as well as other plans, will continue to make Summit Park one of the most incredible outdoor spaces in Cincinnati.
