Why Cincinnati Is The Best Vacation City In America
If you live in Cincinnati, you might not think of it as a vacation destination. But if you really stop and think about it, we might just be the best place for a getaway! Our city has a little bit of everything, as well as a real sense of character and charm that can’t be found everywhere. But in case you need convincing, here are several reasons why Cincinnati is the best vacation city in America.

In recent years, Cincinnati's riverfront has come alive and residents and tourists alike are loving it. With The Banks, Smale Riverfront Park, Sawyer Point, sports, concerts, festivals, and many other activities, it's the place to be in the Queen City.

OTR, pictured above, gets a lot of attention (as it should) as a vibrant area of the city, but it's really just one of many. You can spend an entire week of vacation exploring Cincinnati's neighborhoods, checking out local shops and new restaurants. Our city is friendly and accessible, which makes it an ideal vacation destination.

Whether you want to stay downtown in a classic hotel, like The Cincinnatian pictured above, or in a Bed & Breakfast in the country, Cincinnati has a place to rest your head. When you consider the rest of the country, it's affordable, too.

From new favorites like Taste of Belgium to classic Cincinnati diners like Skyline, vacationers can get any type of food they want in Cincinnati. There are hidden dives with excellent breakfasts and fancy steakhouses that will cost your entire paycheck. No matter which way you go, it'll be delicious.

The parks that are scattered across our city are unbelievable, and they each offer something unique. Enjoy a concert or festival at Summit Park (pictured above), appreciate the views and fountains at Washington Park, or go hiking at Ault Park. And that's only three of countless parks that are ideal for playing outside.

The Cincinnati Museum Center is undergoing restoration and renovation, but it's still a main attraction in the city. We also have art museums, a fire museum, a sign museum, and even a ventriloquist museum in the surrounding area.

We have amusement parks (like Kings Island, pictured above), water parks, campgrounds, zip lines, lakes, rivers... you get the idea. You name the vacation activity and we have it nearby.

Whether you're an actual vacationer or you're just playing tourist, there is so much interesting history to learn about Cincinnati. There are many tours available - from Segway tours around town to brewery tours that take visitors underground. You'll surely be fascinated by our city's past.

Cincinnati is known for its love for the Reds and Bengals, but there's a new team in town and vacationers might want to consider checking out a game. Cheer on FC Cincinnati at a spirited soccer game and see the passion Cincinnati has for its teams.

Cincinnati's award-winning zoo should top the list of every vacationer. If you cross the river into Newport, you can also brave the shark bridge at the Newport Aquarium.

If you choose Cincinnati as a vacation destination, you'll never forget the views, especially if you drive into our city from the south. Be sure to check them out from Mt. Adams, Ault Park, the Incline District, and atop Carew Tower as well. No matter which way you view it, Cincinnati is a beautiful city.
