Ohio might be miles and miles away from Africa, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a wild adventure in the Buckeye State. Whether you’re visiting one of our state’s acclaimed zoos or spending the night in a themed rental, there are all sorts of ways to take a walk on the wild side in Ohio. Set three stories above the Africa! exhibit, the Toledo Zoo's Expedition Africa Aerial Adventure Course is a wholly unique and wonderful way to enhance your zoo-going experience.
This versatile course offers a variety of experience options, from multiple elements on two high ropes challenge towers, a 30-foot quick drop, and the pièce de résistance: an exhilarating 763 foot zipline!
Stationed 80 feet above the African safari, this zipline spans 760 feet and takes intrepid adventurers over giraffe, watusi cattle, camels, and more! Talk about an amazing "birds eye" view.
Other high-flying experiences include the Sky Bridge, an excursion across three 250 foot long bridges set 30 feet in the air; the Challenge Course, two different towers packed with obstacles set 30-60 feet in the air; and the Quick Flight, a thrilling 30-foot jump off of the main tower with a controlled descent to the ground!
These "add on" experiences are incredibly reasonable, varying in cost from $10-$20 per person (members get a discount). It's well-worth the additional fee, however, because experiences like this create memories that are truly priceless!
