This Wine Themed Train In Northern California Will Give You The Ride Of A Lifetime
It’s no secret that Northern Californians love our wine, and we have some of the best opportunities to enjoy compared to anywhere in the world! One of these unique wine experiences is the one of a kind Sacramento RiverTrain, which transforms into the Old Vine Express for a few select evenings each summer.
Upcoming dates for the Old Vine Express are July 15, August 19, and September 16. Northern California wine connoisseurs will love the name of this themed ride, especially if they love drinking Old Vine Zin.
The wine themed train ride rolls along old River Road. Each trip offers 15 local wines to choose from as you sit back and enjoy the view from the moving train.
Each wine themed train also features a live band to entertain you as you sip. Once you visit your assigned seat and claim your souvenir glass, you are free to wander the train and visit the three tasting stations.
Each ticket includes 8 tastings of your choice, the souvenir glass to keep, and the 2.5-hour train ride. Designated drivers get to purchase just the train ride ticket, but everyone on board must be at least 21 or older.
You can choose to ride Coach (the most affordable class with diner-style seating at tables that seat four with pull out chairs -seating is assigned) or First Class (these cars offer padded booth seating and lounge seating at tables that seat two to four people - seating is assigned).
The Sacramento River Train ride is a memorable experience to share with that special someone or your favorite group of people. Go ahead and experience what Northern California living is all about: savoring the sunset, listening to good music, and of course, enjoying a glass of great wine.
