Sourcing their grapes from the highly regarded vineyards dotted throughout the Russian River Valley, they have been in turn transformed into some of the most recognized and enjoyed wines in the state and beyond.
Of course, there are the mechanics of growing grapes here: the richness of the soil, general climate, temperature fluctuations, sound vineyard development and growth practices, and "all that jazz."
But you don’t have to be an oenophile—a wine connoisseur—to get in the groove. Nor do you need to know how long a wine has been in the barrel, or to be able to distinguish the right balance of acidity, subtle flavors, and peak sugar balance.
