You don’t want to miss the barbecue served at this unassuming restaurant in downtown Redding. The restaurant doesn’t have a massive sign and is located in a small building on Market Street. But the BBQ at Odell Craft Barbecue is some of the best around.
They serve central Texas brisket, pork spare ribs, smoked tri tip, Carolina pulled pork, and smoked chicken. Choose from a selection of those meats in sandwiches, served alone, or with sides. The sides are similar to classic barbecue sides but with a California influence: white macaroni and cheese, cranberry broccoli salad, and sweet and sour veggie slaw are popular picks.
He uses old-world cooking methods to smoke beef, chicken, and pork. Jason has designed and built his own equipment to make his barbecue as good as possible.
All of their smoking equipment is located on their back patio. On days when they’re smoking meat, you could probably find the restaurant by following the scent of barbecue. The beautiful back patio is a great place to enjoy barbecue with a group of friends and family.
For events, the team at Odell will work with customers to create the perfect menu. They have catered events for up to 800 people. It’s recommended that your party be at least 30 people for catering services. For fewer than 30 people, consider picking up in-store.
