It was started by a hardworking farmer named Sam and his wife Sally. It's now operated by their sons Glen and Steve. A third generation of young Ikedas are also often in their store stocking shelves, serving burgers, and working as cashiers.
Ikeda's has a reputation for their dessert pies and farm fresh fruits and veggies. Many folks also stop in and buy their prepared whole chickens to cook at home.
