The small town of Quincy has repeatedly been recognized as one of the best places to live in Northern California. Quincy is a small town in Plumas County that's nestled right beside the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This gorgeous community is vastly underrated. The area is downright beautiful and the town is always bustling with things to do.
Plumas County has a long history with trains, most notably the unique railroad that runs along the Feather River. Stop by the Quincy Railroad which is a great place to spot one of the trains traveling through with lumber and forest products.

This little museum contains tons of fascinating information regarding the area's role in mining, railroads, logging, and more. They even have a working blacksmith shop.
