Northern California is nature’s beauty times a million. We have the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, mountain ranges that stand proud, incredible lakes, and meandering rivers that make you think you’re in another world. Don’t believe me? Here are some photos to prove it. You’re going to think you’re in another world – but I promise you’re not. You’re just looking at the place you call home through someone else’s eyes.

This boat looks like something out of Moby Dick. It's right at home in Marin County. FYI: Marin County ranked numero uno as the healthiest county in ALL of California.

Honestly, Emerald Bay is gorgeous every day - but have you ever seen it looking quite as lovely as it does here?

129 feet of cascading water falls down below and creates a ethereal mist. Burney Falls is in the 2nd oldest state park in the state.

This spot sits 20 miles north of San Francisco. The foggy mist on the water reminds me of pirate ships and the darkness that sits beneath. Great white sharks, anyone?

Almost supernatural. Am I right? I could easily believe this is a photo of someone going from death to life. It just has that kind of vibe.

Located in Siskiyou County. This lake is as remote as it looks. Good luck trying to find it. You'd have to be pretty determined. It's close to Meek's Meadow and pretty desolate wilderness.

This is the spot you bring a picnic lunch, or maybe propose. Yes, that's a hint, guys! The water in the distance makes this place in San Mateo seem almost heavenly.
