One small town in Northern California that doesn’t get nearly as much love as it deserves is the little town of Pescadero in San Mateo County. Though its population is under 1,000, there’s a lot to see here. It makes for an absolutely delightful day trip that’s perfect for your next outing.

Pescadero may be a small town, but it's got some world-famous pie. Duarte's Tavern has been delighting Californians since 1894. It serves up delicious Portuguese and American foods.
