This 45-Minute Northern California Sleigh Ride Takes You Through A Winter Wonderland

Even if you’re not a fan of the cold weather, you have to admit that Northern California is absolutely stunning during wintertime. Of course, our landscapes are outright picturesque all year long, but there’s something undeniably magical about them when they’re all covered in snow. Seeing our region’s snowy landscapes is a must for every Northern Californian and there’s no better way than by taking off on this enchanting sleigh ride. This is a winter bucket list item that you’ll definitely want to accomplish this year so be sure to check it out.
Yosemite Trails Saddle & Sleigh Company has been helping people explore one of the most beautiful regions our state has to offer since 1938. Although they are primarily known for their horseback trail rides, they also offer horse-drawn sleigh rides.
With the arrival of winter, guests can experience the joys of riding in an authentic horse-drawn sleigh pulled by Belgian Draft Horses, complete with real Jingle Bells. There's no way you won't be absolutely charmed from the moment you climb on board.
The sleigh will whisk you along the historic Jackson Road on the way to Skidders Camp. In the meantime, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding region. It's a sight to be seen, especially when it's all blanketed in snow.
Once you get to camp, you can warm yourself up by the crackling fire with a cup of hot apple cider or "cowboy coffee" in hand. You can even roast a few marshmallows while you're at it!
The rides are offered throughout the holiday season, excluding Christmas Day. The cost is $35 for people age 15 and over, and $22 for children ages 4-14. Kids age 3 and under are free.
