It’s what dreams are made of…that one delectable dish that permeates your gourmet thoughts, makes your mouth water at just the mention of it, and gives you the sweats – in a good way, of course! Seafood aficionados far and wide have experienced this sort of gastronomic nirvana at Scoma’s Sausalito in Northern California where the Lazy Cioppino completely captures the soul.

But first, a little bit of history.

The first Scoma’s location (which still exists today) is in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf District, an enterprise originally founded as a coffee shop that also served seafood and sandwiches, by the Sicilian Scoma family in 1965. The expansion into Sausalito took place in 1969.
