California Academy of Sciences is a respected scientific and educational institution dedicated to exploring, explaining, and sustaining life on Earth.
Once you're inside you'll see that there are many exhibits, floors, and areas to see like the Rainforest, Living Roof, African Penguins, The Swamp, and Planetarium.
The living roof is more than beautiful, and a main attraction of the Academy. The roof features seven hills lined with 50,000 porous, biodegradable vegetation trays and solar panels.
The aquarium is one of the most biologically diverse and interactive aquariums in the world. There are about 40,000 animals with views of underwater life that will thrill you!
Take time to wonder around and give yourself at least 2-3 hours for a full experience. The lush tropical trees, plants, and other animals will make you forget about the winter too!
Educate yourself and spend time at the impressive evolution exhibit, which focuses on islands as venues for evolution. The dynamic and numerous things to do are plentiful at the Academy.
