You Can’t Afford To Miss These 10 Free Outdoor Activities In San Francisco
San Francisco is an expensive city for sure. However, some of the most beautiful and stunning things are free. You can enjoy many things in this city that cost nothing at all. These activities are varied and appeal to anyone into nature, music, art, and more. Let’s take a look at these activities in the city this summer!

1.Embarcadero Waterfront Walk - Pier 7 The Embarcadero, San Francisco, 94111
Take a pleasant walk along the Embarcadero, from the Bay Bridge to Fisherman's Wharf. And keep going all the way to Crissy Field if you're up for it!
2. Land's End Trail - 680 Point Lobos Ave, San Francisco, 94121
San Francisco's most popular hike has world class views, historical attractions, wildflowers, and even a labyrinth! This is one of the best things to do outside in the city and it is free.
3. Bay Ridge Trail - Arguello Gate, Arguello Blvd, San Francisco, 94107
This is the ideal trail because you can see and experience a variety of surreal environments like the Presidio’s forest, scenic overlooks, must-see historic points of interest, and more. The nature here is free and stunning, so take advantage of it.
4. Stern Grove Festival - Sigmund Stern Grove, 19th and Sloat, San Francisco, 94132
The Stern Grove Festival, is an outdoor San Francisco institution that holds free cultural performances every summer. Come early, bring a picnic and chill out with great music.
5. Hike and Explore Sutro Baths - 680 Point Lobos Ave, 94121
The Sutro Baths were at one time San Francisco's main swimming attraction. Go to this part of San Francisco and take a walk and hike around this iconic city ruin because it is free! , if you get up close you'll see a piece of San Francisco history.
6. Golden Gate Park - 501 Stanyan St, San Francisco, 94117
Golden Gate Park provides peace from the noise of the big city that surrounds it. You can bike, walk, hike, or simply relax in this grand park. The number of things to do here are quite large and even bigger if you include the museums.
7. Wave Organ - 1 Yacht Rd, San Francisco, 94123
The Wave Organ is eclectic and always free. The Wave Organ is an acoustic sculpture constructed on the shore of San Francisco Bay. Locating this odd attraction may be an adventure in itself. The Wave Organ is located near the Golden Gate Yacht Club.
8. The Windmills/Tulip Garden - John F Kennedy Dr & Great Hwy, San Francisco, 94199
Spend a day exploring the windmills in Golden Gate Park and immerse yourself in the beauty and history of San Francisco. Also, if you're lucky you may see the gorgeous tulips on full display.
9. Summer of Love - Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, 94110
The whole city will have outdoor Summer of Love events throughout the summer. with events, exhibits and concerts all over the city. Many events are free, so check out the appropriate listings for shows and events outside like Stern Grove and more.
10. Explore China Beach History & Sea Life - 490 Sea Cliff Avenue, San Francisco, 94121
China Beach is a small cove in San Francisco's Sea Cliff neighborhood, and it is stunning and free. This is one of the few beaches around where you can learn about history and explore the sea life like Starfish and more.
