10 Unique Fall Festivals Around San Francisco You Won’t Find Anywhere Else
Fall is upon us, so let’s get ready for some awesome festivals in and around San Francisco. The Bay Area offers a plethora of varied and eclectic festivals. These fall festivals celebrate everything from food and music to superheroes and art. Each festival offers something noteworthy, be it innovative art, carved pumpkins, or world-class beer. Check out these unique fall festivals in and around San Francisco.

1. Oktoberfest by the Bay 2016: Pier 48: Sept. 23-25
Oktoberfest by the Bay will includes nonstop music, singing, dancing and the very best in authentic German food and of course beer. The festival encourages guests to wear traditional Bavarian garments too.
2. Eat Real Festival (Oakland): Sept. 23-25
Eat Real is a state fair, a street-food festival, and a block party all in one. It is a a celebration of good food, and held in Jack London Square in Oakland.
3. Folsom Street Fair: Sept. 25
The Folsom Street Fair is a yearly BDSM and leather subculture street fair held on the last Sunday in September and ends San Francisco's "Leather Pride Week" This is the most eclectic fall festival!?!
4. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival: Sept. 30-Oct. 2
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is an annual free and non-commercial music festival held the first weekend of October in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
5. Re:Make Festival: Oct. 1
The annual Re:Make Summit and Festival celebrates and explores the evolving landscape of creativity. This festival plays host to hundreds of the country’s leading designers, entrepreneurs, bloggers, artisans and brands.
6. Treasure Island Music Festival
Treasure Island Music Festival is an annual two-day music festival that takes place on Treasure Island, California, located in the San Francisco Bay. Come celebrate for the 10th anniversary.
7. Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival: Oct. 17 & 18

8. Superhero Street Fair: Oct. 22
The 2016 SuperHero Street Fair is an electronic music festival dedicated to making everyone a superhero. This fantastical event features interactive challenges, out-of-this-world lighting displays, Tesla Coils and more.
9. JAMBand Family Halloween Festival: Oct. 25
The JAMband Family Halloween Festival has been going for 13 years. Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy a free family Halloween party and folk concert with live music by Charity and the JAMband at The Park Chalet in Golden Gate park.
10. Bay Area Science Festival: Oct. 27-Nov. 5
The Bay Area Science Festival is an annual 10 day celebration of the most creative and dynamic science and technology of the Bay Area. Scientists from local universities, companies, and museums will share their stories, passion and science at over 50 events.
