For such a romantic city, San Francisco has notoriously been a tough place to date—no matter your gender or preference. The constantly evolving city means there’s always a fresh crop of newbies coming in, as an older crowd retreats to quieter and calmer pastures—or the East Bay. So, it can be hard to find that special someone to do all those schmaltzy things with, like dreamily gazing at the Golden Gate Bridge with hands clasped together tightly.
