Located within Columbia State Historic Park, this old saloon dates all the way back to 1856. Over the years, it played a variety of different roles. From grocery and provision store to oyster bar and brewery, there's been a lot of history that's gone through those front doors.
St. Charles Saloon was revived once again back in 2015 after Bixel Brewery had a hard closing in 2015. Now serving up tasty pizzas and ice cold beers, it's the perfect place to grab a slice after a long day of exploring the surrounding park.
You can always build your own pizza, but we recommend trying one of their specialities. The Italian Sub is definitely a favorite and is comprised of pesto garlic ranch, Canadian bacon, salami, pepperoni, red onions, olives, peppers, bacon, and a drizzle of Italian dressing.
Other signature pizzas include the Columbian (horseradish cream sauce, salami, mushrooms, and sausage), the Motherlode (salami, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and olives), and the Hippy (mushrooms, onions, bells, olives, artichoke, tomatoes, and garlic.)
If you can't decide, you can always go half and half. However, pizzas aren't the only thing the saloon cooks up. You can make any build-your-own pizza or specialty pizza into a delicious, steaming hot calzone.
