A treasured Bay Area tradition is doing its thing once again. Christmas in the Park is an annual holiday event that takes place in the heart of downtown San José at the Plaza de Cesar Chavez.
This humongous celebration has been taking place every December for over 38 years. The whimsical event attracts visitors from all over the state and brings them together for a magical holiday experience that goes way above and beyond.
Each year, the two-acre park totally transforms into a Christmas fantasyland. Featuring over 40 musical and animated exhibits, dazzling light displays, and a 60-foot Community Giving Tree, Christmas in the Park is an event that must not be missed.
Guests will arrive at the park and enter a winter wonderland of lights, songs, and local entertainment. Upon strolling through the park, you'll find yourself utterly mesmerized by the enchanted forest of trees that have been decorated by local San José schools, community groups, and businesses.
The best part? The event is totally free to the public. Christmas in the Park is a non-profit organization that is supported every year by fundraising efforts. It just goes to show that creating wonderful family memories is truly priceless!
