There’s one humble restaurant that has proven itself to be one of those treasured places that locals keep returning to time and time again. It may not be super flashy but this place knows what’s truly important; good food.
Located in the heart of Napa Valley, the town of Yountville is big on small town charm. It's here that you'll find some of the greatest eats in Northern California. It even calls itself the "Culinary Capital" of Napa Valley.
It's hard to argue with such a lofty nickname when you come across gems like Ciccio. This humble restaurant defies all stereotypes. Unlike other restaurants in town, it's delightfully unpretentious and instead boasts a rustic country charm.
Judging from the outside, you would never expect that some of the greatest Italian food in the state is hiding inside. The menu contains a simply variety of pizzas and clasic Italian entrees that are bound to blow you away. After all, sometimes keeping it simple is best.
Ciccio is a family owned and operated venture, and it definitely feels like it. The restaurants gives off a wonderfully welcoming and cozy vibe. You'll feel as if you've stepped into a family member's dining room from the moment you sit down.
Ciccio is only open for evening hours, from 5 pm to 9 pm. They don't take reservations so it's not uncommon to see a line forming out front before they even unlock the doors. This is just a testament to the community's love for this little gem of a restaurant.
When it comes to the food, you won't be disappointed. Ciccio is most well-known for their pizzas. Each one is beautifully simple, comprised of delicious dough and fresh ingredients before being sent into the oven to cook.
The menu changes every few days based on which ingredients happen to be in season at the time. This ensures that each visit to Ciccio is unique in its own way. In general, you can expect a few options for meat, veggie, pasta, and salad entrees.
The building that Ciccio resides in used to be an Italian market place back in the early 1900s. Although the market is no longer, a beautiful restaurant has taken its place and proven to be a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
