What’s even better than noshing on a delicious cheeseburger? Eating that burger in a diner filled with historic relics from California’s past. Check out Fanny Ann’s Saloon at 1023 2nd St, Sacramento, CA 95814.
The World Famous Fanny Ann's Steamboat was first built in 1842, as a means of bringing supplies to Sutter's Fort.
Two decades later, in 1862, Fanny Ann again answered the call of duty, transporting supplies for the Union army during the Civil War.
Following the Civil War, the boat was repurposed for recreational use.
Many relics that Fanny has collected over the decades remain in the saloon.
The many historic relics lining the walls and decorating the place are a testament to the many adventures Fanny Ann's Steamboat once embarked upon.
And of course, it doesn't hurt that Fanny's offers delicious diner food, like burgers and sandwiches.
Portions are huge. Just look at this massive burrito!
