For over 70 years, Children’s Fairyland in Oakland has provided a fairyland escape.
Situated on the shores of Lake Merritt, it attracts kids and their families from across the Bay Area. The property encompasses 60 whimsical storybook sets tailored for children up to about eight years old.
All over the park you will find colorful statuary, unique architectural designs, and more that stimulate the imagination.
A 10-acre expanse of gardens connects visitors to the natural surroundings. The park is also home to over a dozen animals. Themed non-thrill rides here include the Jolly Trolley, a Wonder-Go-Round, and a mini-Ferris wheel, just to name a few.
There are numerous storytellers, performers, and musicians that delight kids and their families throughout the day.

The park is full of themed areas where kids can climb, run, and play.

Alice's Reading Room is chock full of books that encourage reading.
The park hosts special "Fairyland for Grownups" events where big kids can channel their inner fantasy land as well.
