The festival takes place every year in the month of April. Next year, it's scheduled to take place on April 4-5, 2020 in the usual location of Sacramento's Southside Park.
This unique event was created specifically for grilled cheese lovers and it's comprised of an entire weekend dedicated to this delicious sandwich. The festival hosts dozens of vendors, each of which serves up their own unique rendition of the classic grilled cheese sandwich.
The Saturday of the festival is limited to adults who are 21+ only. This day is dedicated to sampling endless grilled cheese, craft beers, regional wines, and desserts in addition to live entertainment and games. It's a day that's meant to make adults feel like kids again.
Sunday's event is open to all ages and features live music, a kid zone, and other forms of entertainment. There aren't unlimited samples during this event, but attendees can purchase samples directly from the participating restaurants.
This one-of-a-kind experience brings together the area's very best chefs, brewers, and winemakers, so prepare your taste buds for a real treat! Vendors for the 2020 festival are still being finalized, but you can expect to see eateries such as Grilled Cheez Guy, Flaming Grill Cafe, and Adamo's to make an appearance
