Walking through the coastal redwood forest of Northern California is a magical experience. This attraction in Klamath has miles of trails, above-the-ground canopy trails, and a gondola, from which you can explore the majestic redwood forest.
The gondola is called SkyTrail and covers one-third of a mile in this incredible forest.
As it makes its way up the mountain, inside the gondola visitors will be treated to stunning ocean views, in addition to an excellent view of the giant trees. The gondola ride takes about 10 minutes.
Visitors can also hike the interpretive trails. The trails are lined with wood sculptures of mythical creatures and other fairytale-like figures.
Along these trails, you’ll find informational displays and audio that tell the story of the trees and the history of the area. There are less than two miles of trails on the ground, making this an easy hike for most fitness levels and abilities.

In addition to the fairytale-like trails, a new trail opened in 2020. The Redwood Canopy Trail gives visitors a birds-eye perspective of the redwoods.
The canopies meander throughout the redwoods, linking platforms with netted suspension bridges. There are 10 platforms, eight suspension bridges, and two spiral staircases. People of all ages love to explore the forest on the canopy trails.
Along the walkable trails visitors can see some unique tree formations. The Cathedral Tree is made of up nine trees growing as one in a formation that looks like a cathedral. Many of the trees in this park make great backdrops for photos since they are things you’ll only see once in a lifetime.
Visitors can also learn about the history of the area and the indigenous people at the on-site museum.
