You probably already know that Northern California is where it’s at. But, when you’re born and bred in this part of the state you get a little cavalier about what you know and don’t know. Most of us drive by some of the most incredible nature spots or man-made marvels and we don’t take a second glance. Why? Because we get used to living in such an amazing place. Just in case you’re spending most time these days with your face in your iPhone playing Pokemon Go, here are some unbelievable facts that will make you a hit at the next cocktail party.
This county is just south of Lake Tahoe. It's the eighth smallest county in all of California's 58 states and has no bank, no ATM and no agriculture production.
Monarch butterflies migrate around here. There's actually an old law on the city books that makes it illegal to molest butterflies. Whew...so glad that's taken care of.
