The Christmas Village In Northern California That Becomes Even More Magical Year After Year
The holidays are quickly approaching and all of Northern California’s one-time-a-year events are in full force. Magical lighting displays, train rides to the North Pole, even entire towns turn into holiday wonderlands during this time of year. There’s one town in Northern California that even turns into a scene out of “The Christmas Carol.” For the month of December, Nevada City turns into a literal Christmas Village with all the fun and festivities you could dream of!

There's nothing like the smell of roasted chestnuts in the air to get you in the mood for the holidays.

Victorian singers, brass bands, and bagpipers provide traditional holiday music and bring Christmas cheer to all who can hear.

Nevada City attracts hundreds of visitors during this time of year. Parking can get tricky, but a shuttle service from the Nevada County Government Center is provided. The shuttle is $5 for anyone ages 15 and up and free for anybody younger than 15.

Homemade candy, jewelry, pottery, you name it! This is the perfect place to pick up some unique, last-minute Christmas gifts for your loved ones.

The addition of snow flakes falling on the town makes the scene even more enchanting and beautiful.

Don't forget to bring your top hot and cane to the merry festivities!

A day trip to this delightful Christmas Village is perfect for making long-lasting memories. This is soon to be a favorite yearly tradition for you and your family.
