One of the most beloved natural attractions in Northern California is the wonderful Russian River. This lazy river stretches for 110 miles through the heart of Sonoma County. The river gives a unique character to the many towns that reside next to it, and it's long been the location of treasured summer time activities. It seems that no matter what time of year it is, there's always something to see or do around the Russian River!

Whenever anybody tries to argue that Southern California has all the beaches, just go ahead and point them here. The Point Reyes National Seashore offers over 70,000 acres of protected coastline. It's one of the most stunning parks in all of Northern California. Maintained by the National Park Service, Point Reyes is an accumulation of protected wildlife species, stunning coastal beaches, endless hiking trails, and some of the best views on the entire coast.

Nestled near the top of Napa Valley is the small town of Calistoga. This place may have a small population but it boasts nearly an endless amount of attractions including hot springs, mud baths, wineries, and the famous medieval castled called Castello di Amorosa. Calistoga boasts a rustic charm that you just can't get anywhere else. On top of all that, this town boasts some of the must stunning views of the one-of-a-kind Napa Valley. It's one of the best places in the world to relax.
