Let’s be honest, bacon is more than just a side. It’s a staple. It deserves its own food group on the food pyramid. You could search the world over and not find a food as awe-inspiring or as worship-worthy as bacon.
Luckily for those of us in Northern California, there is a Sonoma County restaurant that serves some of the most incredible bacon in nearly all of their dishes. Keep reading to learn more about this bacon-themed culinary delight.
Located in Sebastapol, the restaurant is called Zazu. It's owned and operated by a bunch of bacon fanatics.
Their quality is impeccable, especially when it comes to their bacon. They sell bacon from Black Pig Meat Co., a company started by Zazu chefs Duskie Estes and John Stewart. Many people stop by just to pick up the bacon to cook at home.
Start with breakfast. The bacon waffles with pralined bacon bits topped with espresso gelato are a decadent breakfast that is out of this world delicious.
