Fried food, carnival rides, and endless entertainment await at one of the biggest county fairs in the state. The Alameda County Fair will take place later this year in the fall instead of during the summer. Don’t worry, though. It will be the same county fair that so many have come to love over the decades! When the Alameda County Fair was canceled last year due to the pandemic, it was the first time in more than a century that the fair didn't take place. Finally, this event is making a return for 2021 and we couldn't be happier about it!
The Alameda County Fair will take place this year from October 22 through October 31. Described as a "safety first event for the community", you can expect to see some changes to ensure compliance with state and county COVID-19 protocols. Rest assured, it will still be the same fun experience that it's always been.
The fair takes place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. A combination of live concerts, local art, animal showcases, and carnival games and rides, there's something for everyone at this annual event.
Definitely be sure to indulge in all of your fair food favorites. Funnel cakes, corn dogs, chili cheese fries - food like this just seems to taste better when it's at the fair.
Offering carnival rides and games galore, you'll find tons of great ways to make lasting memories at the fair. Your experience won't be complete until you've ridden the Ferris wheel, gotten dizzy in a funhouse, or screamed your head off on the swings.
