North Dakota Is Having A Sunflower Superbloom And It’s Incredible To See
North Dakota is one of the top two producers of sunflowers in all of the US. We’re reaching the peak time of the year for sunflowers to be in full bloom, and you can see it yourself. This sunflower “superbloom,” as some people have called it, is a gorgeous sight and one you can see by simply driving down ND’s highways, byways, and country roads.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. Have you seen North Dakota’s beautiful sunflower fields this year? There is actually a small town that hosts a sunflower festival dedicated to these beautiful crops. It’s coming up in September of 2019 and you can check it out for yourself by clicking here.
Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
