Travel Off The Beaten Path To Try The Most Mouthwatering Pasta In North Dakota
North Dakota’s small-town restaurants tend to be very similar. They are usually bar and grills that specialize in beer and burgers but still have a local flair. Maybe there is a cafe with sandwiches, soups, and coffees in town, too. But seldom do you find a restaurant in a tiny town that has pasta as amazing as this one does. It’s a bit off the beaten path and you may have to travel a bit of a distance to find it but it’s well worth the trip!
Way up north is a town called Rolette, North Dakota.
Outside and in, it doesn't look that notable. Older, perhaps, but still holding on to that local charm. It's not the looks that make it so notable, however, it's the food.
The Village Cafe has a few favorites on the menu that are very popular, and those are pasta. That's right — this little cafe isn't known for burgers or baked goods, but pasta! This is one of their most loved dishes:
Other pasta dishes like alfredo pasta, with either chicken or shrimp or nothing at all, or their shrimp primavera (shown below) are constantly ordered here. Make sure you come hungry because the plates are huge and the pasta is piled on!
Other than their premier pasta, the Village Cafe has everything else you'd expect from a small town restaurant. Soups, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, and plenty of other tasty goodies with that made-from-scratch flavor.
Their juicy steaks will have your mouth watering. You'll definitely want to come more than once so you can try their pasta and other options because they're all just that delicious!
