In 2020, it’s set to hit a new population record according to the US Census Bureau, and here’s why new residents are steadily flowing in – and loving it here.

North Dakota, also known as the Peace Garden State, Flickertail State, and Roughrider State, will set a new population record in 2020 as it reaches 762,000 residents. Approximately 4,000 new residents have come to North Dakota just since 2018.

The largest cities in the state include Fargo and West Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Minot, and Williston. Both Fargo and Bismarck have had a nearly 20% increase in population since the last national census in 2010.
