These must-try restaurants in North Dakota are definitely worth visiting, but they’re also fairly popular and well-known. There are other eateries across the state in small towns or hidden places that are just as worthwhile to check out. The White Maid is located in the tiny town of Napoleon and is a local favorite as well as a place that people remember even if they were just passing through. The Home Plate Cafe in Fredonia has absolutely legendary pies and authentic North Dakota favorites, and it’s worth driving out of your way to visit. You may also be surprised to find a fantastic edible cookie dough restaurant, Scoop N’ Dough, in an alleyway in Fargo.
