Skyfest Over Ft. Stevenson is an annual festival dedicated to all things kites. It is held in the sky over the fort just outside of Garrison, North Dakota in Fort Stevenson State Park.
The festival begins the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend each year and goes until Monday.
Each day of the festival is packed with fun activities and everyone is allowed to fly their kites throughout it all.
The kites displayed at Skyfest Over Ft. Stevenson can range from small personal kites to huge, professional stunt kites that dazzle and amaze people each year.
Each kite is unique and fills up the sky with beauty that is unsurpassed. Fun kites, fancy kites, all kind of kites are welcome!
Some of the kites brought by kite groups and organizations are out of this world. These fabulous fliers take to the sky every day of the festival. It's hard to believe some of these even count as kites with how huge they are.
Other parts of the event that make it such a blast include Bol Races, shown below, open for all ages. There is a Candy Drop at each day, as well.
Take advantage of North Dakota's wide, windy prairie skies and don't miss out on Skyfest Over Ft. Stevenson this year!
