This Will Be The Newest State Park In North Dakota And It’s Incredible
North Dakota hasn’t had a new state park in over 25 years. The last one made was Cross Ranch State Park in 1989, which was the state’s 13th park. Last year, however, plans were made and construction began on a new state park that you may be able to enjoy in the near future. Check out why this park will be so incredible:

The park is situated alongside the Missouri River right by Bismarck, North Dakota. It was announced in 2015 and development began in 2016. The park will be 213 acres in size. This area has natural wetlands and sand dunes that creates a unique landscape that you will be able to experience at the park.

The park is meant to be a showcase and day-use recreational area. There will not be any campgrounds for overnight stays, but plenty of ways to access the Missouri River for recreation along with hiking and biking trails. There will be plenty of room for kayaking, canoeing, and more along the banks of the river.

These plans include the great trails as well as parts like the butterfly garden shown above.

We haven't had a new park in nearly 30 years, but this one will be fantastic!
