Recently, 24/7 Wall St. made a list of the very best places in the United States to live. They took different types of data and combined them all together to score different cities. Out of the top 50, there were four North Dakota cities on the list! This may come as little surprise to many of us – it is pretty great here, after all – but even then, you may not have expected that the highest-ranked of our cities to make the list was in second. Here is the city that was named the very best place in the Peace Garden State to live, and among the top cities of the entire country to live:

The North Dakota city that rose above 48 others around the country in a 50 city list is located very close to its heart. In fact, it happens to be right across the Missouri River from the capital city. That's right: it's Mandan!

Mandan, North Dakota is the state's 7th largest city with a population of a bit over 22,000. It was founded in 1879 and has ties to lots of the state's history.
