The name comes from the Maltese Cross Cabin, Theodore Roosevelt's cabin he used when he stayed in Medora — one of his favorite places. The cabin is still in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park today and you can even go inside.
The scenery from where you can sit at the Maltese Burger is fantastic. The town is always beautiful, and with the Badlands as a backdrop, you'll be in awe your entire trip.
