From the vast, wide open prairies to the rugged badlands, North Dakota is full of natural beauty. It doesn’t get much prettier, however, than the painted canyons in the west. This particular spot draws in hundreds of visitors who want to get a glimpse of one of the most gorgeous sights in the Peace Garden State. This particular view already looks amazing in pictures, but you have to see it in person to understand how simply breathtaking it is.

The River Bend Overlook is located in the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, located near Watford City, North Dakota. There are equally as beautiful overlooks and sights in the South Unit near Medora, North Dakota as well! For all the information on this park, click here.
