The First Annual Buffalo Festival Is Coming To This North Dakota Town
North Dakota is well known for its history with bison. From the days that thousands roamed the plains to now where they can still be found across the North Dakota prairie, this state is all about them! One small town is having its first ever Buffalo Festival to celebrate all things about them, and you can join in yourself this upcoming weekend.
North Dakota loves its bison, sometimes referred to as buffalo, and shows that in many ways. From the "world's largest buffalo" statue in Jamestown, ND to the NDSU Bison mascot in Fargo.
One small town in North Dakota has set up a festival celebrating everything about these huge, majestic creatures that roam the state's prairies, and 2019 will be the first annual holding of the event.
In different areas of town you'll find activities for the whole family to enjoy. Things to look forward to include a cornhole tournament, buffalo trails tours, speakers, a fishing tournament at the lake, and lots of vendors and games in the park.
The whole day is lined up from morning to evening with fun things to do, plus you can indulge in tons of buffalo chili and buffalo wings and vote for your favorite at a contest for them.
