One Of The Biggest Powwows In The U.S. Is Happening In North Dakota And It’s Truly Spectacular
North Dakota has a rich and deep history revolving around Native American tribes, so it’s no surprise to hear that one of the biggest powwows in the nation take place here every year. Hundreds of people come to display their skills in dancing, singing, and share their craftsmanship and their culture at this event every year. It’s coming up fast, and you don’t want to miss it!
The United Tribes International Powwow is a huge event hosted by the United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota. It is held on the second weekend of September every year.
This year that date will fall on September 7th through the 9th. Hundreds of people from all over the country will come to display their skills at this competition powwow that has been going on for nearly half a century.
All throughout the weekend there will be tons of things going on, and you will not want to miss it. It's not known as the "Home of Champions" in the powwow circuit for nothing!
Singing, drumming, and all sorts of different performances will be happening throughout the entire weekend and everyone is welcome to attend and witness this spectacular competition.
All throughout the performances, food and craft vendors will be open. You can find gorgeous handmade crafts and delicious foods. Plus, there is a free buffalo and beef feed on Sunday that anyone can enjoy.
