Don’t let their unusual name put you off – all of their creations are fantastic and they have made a name for themselves as having the best donuts in the area. Bearscat Bakehouse is a small bakery founded in Bismarck, North Dakota. The name isn't meant to put people off, it actually is old cowboy slang for donut!
And bearscat they have. Tons of donuts of many different flavors and kinds are made fresh and available every day. Who wouldn't want to eat a Bismarck donut in Bismarck?
Salted caramel, fruit loops, piña colada, jelly filled, and one of my personal favorites, The Puppy Chow - a donut with chocolate and peanut butter drizzle with powdered sugar on top - are just a few of the many options they have.
It is definitely hard to walk away from Bearscat without taking an entire dozen of donuts, caramel rolls, and other baked goods with you. They just all look and taste so good!
Bearscat opened a second location in Mandan a couple of years ago and remains the best place for donuts in the entire Bismarck-Mandan area, if not the entire state. Whether you like the name or not, it's hard to deny how fantastic their creations are.
