The Homemade Goods From This Amish Store In North Carolina Are Worth The Drive To Get Them
North Carolina’s Amish community isn’t quite the size of that in Pennsylvania Dutch country up North, but you don’t have to be Dutch – or Amish, for that matter – to appreciate the wholesome goodness found in Amish baked goods and a traditional Amish deli. The country store below has both, plus Amish bulk goods perfect for stocking your pantry.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. Ye Olde Country Store in Burnsville, North Carolina is brimming with an old-fashioned sense of practicality.
The store also has a busy bakery, always churning out one delicious Amish item after another. What goes better with freshly baked Amish sourdough bread than freshly made Pimento Cheese? (Nothing!)
Over in the deli/bakery, you can order up a sandwich served the old-fashioned way. Skip the fancy gourmet breads of today and opt for everything on that sandwich to be stuffed between two soft slices of delicious (and fresh!) sourdough bread.
If you love a good, old-fashioned shopping and dining experience and haven't discovered the charm of a traditional Amish bulk goods store and deli, then this is the place to start...
Ye Olde Country Store is located at 7 S Main St., Burnsville, NC 28714. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Learn more on their official Facebook page!
