Travel Back To The 1800s At North Carolina’s Island Farm Museum
The next time you’re in the vicinity of Roanoke Island, take the kids over to Island Farm, an interactive, living museum showcasing life on Roanoke Island in the 1850s. Not only is this locale loaded with history, it’s loaded with hands-on history!

Island Farm is open April through November (closed on Thanksgiving Day). The hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and spend the day on the farm. You’ll be so glad you did! Learn more by visiting the Island Farm website, right here.
