There are only a few Amish communities in the Tar Heel State, and this general store is located right in the heart of one of them. Updated in the last two years to include a huge expansion, Shiloh General Store has all of the essentials (including a deli) to make for a fun and eclectic day trip into North Carolina’s Amish country.

Shiloh General Store is located at 5520 St Paul Church Rd., Hamptonville, NC 27020. It’s a mere 60 minutes north of Charlotte, 40 minutes west of Winston-Salem, and 60 minutes east of Boone. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed on Sunday and Monday). Learn more on the official website!
