This Easy, 0.3-Mile Trail Leads To Pearson’s Falls, One Of North Carolina’s Most Underrated Waterfalls
Oh la la! If you have yet to discover the magic of Pearson’s Falls and Glen, then prepare to be positively wowed when you visit this 268-acre park-like reserve nestled deep in a gorge just outside of Saluda, North Carolina.
The Glen is a meticulously maintained natural sanctuary filled with moss-covered bridges, natural footpaths, and inspirational views of Colt Creek, a cascading mountain stream at the heart of the park's appeal.
Now still privately owned (by the Tryon Club) and maintained with funds generated by a small entry fee, Pearson's Falls and Glen is a lush wonderland begging to be explored.
For those who love to reconnect with nature but aren't up for a hike that takes an entire morning (or day, for that matter), a visit to Pearson's Falls is an ideal decision.
As a mere point of reference, Pearson's Falls and Glen is less than two hours from Charlotte, 45 minutes from Asheville, two hours from Boone, and 2.5 hours from Winston Salem.
The hours change seasonally. You can view admission fees and more at this link. Have you visited Pearson’s Fall and Glen in the past? We’d love to hear about your experience and see your photos in our Facebook comments!
