The Pumpkin Patch Train Ride In North Carolina That’s Perfect For A Fall Day
It seems each season in North Carolina comes accompanied by a festive train ride that reels in the holiday spirit. During Christmas we have the Polar Express, for a spooky adventure we can hop on board the Tweetsie Ghost Train, and now The Great Pumpkin and the Charlie Brown characters come to life in this great ride for all ages.

The train ride departs from the Great Smoky Mountains station in Bryson City. Children are encouraged to adorn their halloween costumes to help get in the spirit (parents, too!). On board, kids enjoy a narration of Charles M. Schulz’s classic story "It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

After a thirty minute ride, members from the Peanuts gang, like Charlie, Lucy and Snoopy are there to greet you at the pumpkin patch.

Here, kids have an hour and forty five minute layover to explore the pumpkin patch, hang out with Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy, as well as a variety of activities that reel in the Halloween magic captured in the original story and recreated here.

Activities include campfire marshmallow roast, photo opportunities with the Peanuts gang, temporary tattoos, a bouncy house, trick-or-treat, and even picking out your own pumpkin to take home.

Even better, there are also hayrides through the mountain countryside! A fun way to keep the kiddos entertained and give them a memorable experience.

Do you have a little one that loves Halloween, Charlie Brown, or both? This is a great idea for a fall day trip for the Peanuts lover in your family.

What a unique experience for kids! I would have loved this when I was a kid.
