North Carolina’s Annual Mountain Festival Is Truly One Of A Kind

Nothing says fall is quickly approaching more than the start of the annual North Carolina Mountain State Fair in Asheville. Now in its 26th year, the state’s only mountains rendition of a “state fair” is slated for September 6th through the 15th with 10 days of wholesome family fun set among the beautiful mountain vistas found in Western North Carolina.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Have you attended this fair in previous years? What’s your favorite part of the fair? We’d love to hear!
